Operations, Finance & Business Management
The Training & Development Programme is designed to develop high-calibre individuals across Operations, Finance & Business Management, through structured learning combined with rotations across a wide variety of business areas and roles. Through these rotations analysts gain exposure to our global business and the complexity of our operational responsibilities.
You will establish a wide range of skills as you are deployed into a variety of roles, both project and line-based, across different business functions. The rotation length will vary depending upon the location and the business area you move into but an average length is between 9 and 12 months.
The first rotation is assigned. Beyond that you make the decisions and drive your own career, supported by a structured development programme. Open roles are advertised to analysts to ensure that those ready to rotate can review the opportunities and focus on those matching their career and development goals. Your performance is regularly reviewed to engender a culture of continuous personal development and to ensure you are stretched and challenged.
The training programme is designed to support competency development and management skills and consists of a range of modules and activities.The induction programme introduces new joiners to JPMorgan as a whole and our business areas specifically, as well as the financial markets, products, processes and skills we depend on.The team-building event helps you explore and understand the attitudes, skills and behaviors that allow individuals to maximize their effectiveness within a team framework.
There will be a variety of modules to support your skills development and business awareness, as well as presentations to give you an insight into options for rotations and longer term career goals. You will also have the opportunity to support the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of JPMorgan getting involved in charitable or community projects and other activities which will help you develop wider skills outside your daily role. You could be leading a team working on a project in Romania or mentoring a secondary school pupil in their long-term development and career aspirations.
