Operations & Business Services

We don't just support the business. We define the business.

Operations and Business Services is a vitally important division that supports our global business.  Although they all provide the functions and processes that underpin the firm's sales, trading, cash management and investment banking activities, Operations and Business Services are distinct entities with distinct (although mutually related) responsibilities.

Operations covers the full end-to-end management of a transaction after it's been booked by our teams in the front office.  As an Analyst, you could work in such functions as Risk Management or Trader Support, or Client Services in areas as diverse as Commodities or Exotics and Hybrids.  You may be involved in a project to explore new business opportunities in emerging markets. Wherever you join us, challenge and stimulation are guaranteed.

Graduates joining our Operations Analyst Development Program work with our revenue-generating business lines to oversee processes and work flow that support the services we provide to our clients. Operations Analysts work across product lines as well as across regions, contributing innovation, risk control and expense management skills to the development upgrades and management of all operational areas. You’ll seek to sustain an efficient and well-controlled environment that delivers flawless service behind the frontlines — allowing business managers to concentrate their energies on long-term strategies and new business opportunities. You will also work closely in partnership with their counterparts from the Technology and Finance divisions of the firm to offer slick end-to-end operations on a global scale.

J.P. Morgan views operational excellence as a key competitive advantage, one that allows us to offer competitive pricing, provide world-class service and retain a greater share in our markets. For this reason, our operations professionals are well-respected throughout the firm and are depended on for their insight and advice.
