Operations, Finance and Business Management (or OFBM for short) is a vitally important division that supports the global business. The world's best financial services provider needs the best operations. We've got it. OFBM deserves its reputation as a global centre of excellence.

This is a time of unprecedented change and growth for JPMorgan as a whole. New products, new markets, new locations and new clients all combine to create huge opportunities for the firm in general - and new challenges for OFBM in particular. For the business to continue to flourish as a whole and stay ahead in volatile global markets, it is essential that we don't just respond to new business needs, but we predict and define them.

It's not an easy task. Our global operating model is more complex and diversified than ever before -  we employ people from over 50 different countries speaking 29 different languages. Diversity is our strength. The business relies on us to manage change, reduce risk and ensure consistency across hugely diverse locations and operations. Such is our global reach that our people need an in-depth appreciation of the whole business - exactly what you'll gain as a graduate. So you'll need to demonstrate flexibility, versatility and creativity in all that you do. Of course, it's not just about understanding the whys and wherefores of how we work - you'll also need to express them to internal clients and external suppliers.

Although they all provide the functions and processes that underpin the firm's sales, trading, cash management and investment banking activities, Operations, Finance and Business Management are distinct entities with distinct (although mutually related) responsibilities.

Operations

Broadly speaking, Operations covers the full end-to-end management of a transaction after it's been booked by the front office. Join us as an Analyst and you could work in such functions as Risk Management or Trader Support, Client Services in Exotics and Hybrids, or you could be involved in a project to explore new business opportunities in emerging markets. Wherever you join us, challenge and stimulation are guaranteed.

Finance

Finance is an essential part of our business. This area is accountable for the delivery of financial information, whether for an individual business area or for the firm's overall results. It's a wide-ranging area that involves financial reporting as well as checking reported financial information. Finance also provides financial and capital-related information to regulators.

Business Management

Business Management supports the strategic development of the business, and drives change. Senior Business Managers are often seen as Chief Operating Officers for their particular business. These teams work in partnership with their colleagues in Technology and Corporate Infrastructure, and continually strive to increase revenues, improve efficiencies and reduce risks.
