Good Venture
Name the cause. Make the case. Win the cash.
Do you know of a worthy cause that deserves some serious investment? Good Venture is a socially responsible case competition that offers you the chance to make a difference to the non-profit organization that you're passionate about. It's also a great opportunity to network within the business community and practice exactly the kind of teamwork, analysis and communication skills that we are looking for in potential colleagues.
This is how it works: you choose your cause (an existing non-profit organization) and put a team together to make your case. Next, submit a short proposal online, explaining why your non-profit deserves funding. JPMorgan will choose the final list of teams; if your team is short-listed, you will be invited to JPMorgan's New York headquarters for the final round of presentations, judged by a very senior panel including JPMorgan executives. You'll spend time in our offices, enjoy a tour of the trading floor and, on the night before the final judging, there'll be a dinner with the JPMorgan team.
Good Venture will be a rewarding and educational experience, especially for those who go all the way to the finals. It's a great opportunity to try out your skills in business planning, teamwork and presenting ideas.
And if you win? JPMorgan will provide $25,000 of investment funding, directly to your chosen cause. Imagine how great that's going to feel - and then start thinking about how you are going to make it happen for the people and communities who deserve it.
We support Good Venture as part of our wider commitment to direct action in the community. More and more people are getting the importance of volunteering. We know this is happening, because we see it (and celebrate it) in our own people. We give substantial amounts to philanthropic causes, but some of our most effective community initiatives are inspired and led by JPMorgan people who simply want to make a difference.
