Preparing for an assessment centre
Assessment centres are not only a great way for us to determine your suitability for the firm as well as the business area to which you have applied, but also allow you to get a better understanding of the kind of work you would be doing on a day-to-day basis.
Each assessment centre is tailored according to the business area to which you have applied, with specific selection tools used to assess and evaluate your skills and suitability for your chosen role.
Typically, assessment centres last between a half day and a full day and comprise of group exercises, role-plays, case studies and interviews. Each is used to measure a number of different competencies, which can include problem solving, communication, teamwork, professional style and confidence.
Depending on the business area you have applied for, there may be preparation work in advance of the assessment centre. We will give you all the instructions in advance of attending so you will know what to expect. Take confidence in the fact that you have passed the first round successfully, and we are looking for the same qualities you have already demonstrated at your first round.
